In case brake proximity sensor fails, what's the way to disengage cruise control?
NexCruise safety feature: Brake sensor needs to be mounted properly for the cruise to engage in first place.
If it dislocates, and cruise is engaged, it cruise will automatically disengage.

When does it normally happen
It normally happens when the brake sensor is not mounted properly or when Brake sensor is damaged or faulty
Solution
Recheck if the brake sensor is properly mounted, test the brake sensor by checking whether the light is turning on when touching to the brake pedal and turning off when not touching brake pedal.
Eventual safety
If everything else fails, and the cruise doesn't disengage even after pressing the brake, keep it pressed so that the speed drops more then 10km/hr from the set cruise speed. Cruise will automatically disengage in this scenario.
