In case brake proximity sensor fails, what's the way to disengage cruise control?

NexCruise safety feature: Brake sensor needs to be mounted properly for the cruise to engage in first place.
If it dislocates, and cruise is engaged, it cruise will automatically disengage.

⚠️When does it normally happen 

It normally happens when the brake sensor is not mounted properly or when Brake sensor is damaged or faulty

🔧Solution 

Visually Inspect the Mounting

  1. Recheck if the brake sensor is properly mounted,
  2. Ensure that the YELLOW PART of the sensor is directly touching the metal of the brake pedal arm when the brake is not pressed.
  3. If there’s a gap or it's misaligned, the sensor is not properly mounted.

Functional Test of Sensor

  1. When the Yellow part touches the brake pedal → Sensor  light turns ON.
  2. When the brake is pressed and the yellow part is not touching the pedal → Sensor light turns OFF.

🛑Eventual safety

If cruise control does not disengage even after pressing the brake:
  1. Keep the brake pedal pressed.
  2. Once the vehicle speed drops more than 10 km/h below the set cruise speed, NexCruise will automatically disengage as a built-in safety feature.
