4. How to do OTA update.

Steps for OTA update

To update the NexCruise via OTA, follow these steps:
  1. Connect the NexCruise app to a device
  2. Register or login
  3. Perform Over the air update

Connect the NexCruise app to the device

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth of the mobile
  2. Turn on the car in ACCESSORY mode (don't turn on the engine), and make sure the STATE LED on the NexCruise light-bar is glowing.

  1. Start the NexCruise app and press CONNECT button

  1. After connecting, the either the login screen, or the dashboard will appear:

This tutorial assumes that you have already registered your device. If not, follow this <link>  

Next, you need to provide the wifi to NexCruise device. You can use your home wifi or your mobile hotspot. Once you are sure that a wifi network is present, trigger the OTA via these steps:

iPhone

For iPhone, change the name in Settings -> General -> About, like this:
Change "Name" to nexcruise in settings -> General -> About
Put password here:


for iPhone version 12 or more, you may need to enable "Maximize compatibility" in hotspot settings.
